Meet the Team
Dustin Snyder
Dustin Snyder has been advising and assisting student-athletes navigate the college admissions and athletic recruiting process over the last two decades. Snyder grew up in western Pennsylvania and got started in the sports world early on, being part of one of the winningest athletic programs in the region. A natural leader and motivator, Snyder took his passion on the field to high school athletics professionally as a coach and head coach of multiple sports, from football to wrestling, at two prestigious Los Angeles area schools; Harvard-Westlake and Notre Dame Sherman Oaks. At Notre Dame, Snyder also gained experience working in admissions, financial aid, and athletic counseling programs for the school administration, learning the process from the inside out. He continues to use his practical knowledge and coaching skills daily, pairing this with his experience on and off the field, to work with students of all backgrounds and sports to find their best fit at the collegiate level.
Snyder achieved college counseling certification from the University of California – Los Angeles, holds a Master of Science Degree in Sport Management from West Virginia University, and Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Texas in both History and Political Science. He and his wife and two dogs currently reside in Los Angeles.
Mae Greenwald
Ms. Greenwald is a detailed and organized leader with over two decades of extensive experience in selective college and career counseling. Dedicated to furthering and improving the counseling profession, she has served as an educator and mentor to other college counselors, and is an accomplished expert public speaker and presenter on the subject. Her passion lies with working with students from all backgrounds, including those who have little to no access to college counseling services, to lead them through all aspects of college exploration and admissions. Greenwald completed her undergraduate studies in Social Work at Fairleigh-Dickinson University and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from California State University, Northridge.
Chris Debias
Mr. Debias has loved working with students and student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field for the past thirteen years. Debias currently has more than four years of athletic administration experience as an Assistant Athletic Director at a large, public high school where he also is the Virtual Education Coordinator, responsible for scheduling, placement, and personalized academic support for student-athletes. His educational background is extensive, holding a Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a Masters in Sports Administration from California University of Pennsylvania, and a graduate certificate in Economics from Georgia Southern University. Debias’ education and professional experience makes him a valuable member of the Fifth and Oak team, helping student-athletes and families achieve their goals and realize their dreams.
